About to fly back from an edenic trip to Logan, Utah. I was privileged to deliver Utah State University’s Annual Arrington Lecture in the historic & gorgeous Logan Tabernacle, and also got to enjoy their stunning fall colors in the canyon. If you ever get a chance to relax in Cache Valley, do it.

When DNA tests find skeletons in your family’s closet, these researchers want to know about it
(RNS) — DNA testing has upended some families by finding living relatives we never knew we had. Two Latter-day Saint researchers want to study how people cope with such revelations.

I'm sure it will pass, but I feel like I've finally found how to write while teaching. Given that I've prepped a class in 8 of the 10 semesters I've been teaching, it feels good to get things done in months other than May, June, July, or August.
