this also partially stems from the broad cultural idea that a trans woman can never be a victim to violence or abuse i.e. whatever happens to her is deserved or justified. people of all genders can be acutely aware of the ways they can perpetuate violence ... except when it comes to this situation

yup! I do half when I get up, half in the evenings, otherwise I get late-night "flushes"; until the new doc I postponed the morning dose and booked my test first thing to get an actual trough level. explained all of this to them... ask me how I became an advocate for lying to clinicians
