Four reasons why I think MÖRK BORG's index is good. 1. It's divided into three sections so that you can quickly filter to the third you're looking for and not have to sift through as many irrelevant entries. If you're looking for a thing in the Rules, you just ignore The World and Creatures.

You can probably design either/both competently, but I prefer “auto hit/roll damage” because I enjoyed it so much in Into the Odd, whereas “roll to hit/static damage” was a slog for me in Numenera and The Strange. Got me off on the wrong foot by making light weapons useless in the early game.

Putting yourself in the GM’s shoes CAN help! Plus, I think the YouTube claim cited misses analogs in traditional narratives. If players approach a lethal OSR campaign like “The Walking Dead,” the focus becomes more on keeping THE PARTY alive.

The US Web Design System is load-bearing infrastructure for thousands of government websites. It makes it easy for small teams with no resources (i.e. most .gov teams) to make usable, accessible websites that work for everyone. Today, it's as close as it's ever been to being replaced with AI slop.

I did a somewhat deep dive into the recent OpenAI and Anthropic "hacks" for an upcoming interview. IMO, the AI companies are better off running with the "rogue AI" story because the real story is actually pretty embarrassing. Like making your Wi-Fi password "wifi" embarrassing. 🧵

#Dungeon23 influenced my opinions about this so much that I dismiss answers of 365+, and I’m loosey goosey with definitions to avoid gatekeeping so accept 99+ … but I’d be similarly cautious in marketing copy for anything with fewer “encounter areas” (250+) than Caverns of Thracia.
