Any queer or queer allies on here want to give any trans person a piece of advice that you think would help them wherever they are?

I made a YouTube short showing how any melody whether on a specific key or not can be made to sound musical: youtube.com/shorts/fd55Q... #musiceducation #music #youtubeshorts #youtube

This melody sounds wrong...until we add harmony and bass

Getting your information on pagan practices or Satanism or witchcraft from a Christian priest or pastor is like getting your information on critical race theory from a member of the KKK, it isn't accurate and never will be.

Playing the devil's advocate is there as a way to see from an opposing point of view so that a better argument can be made against that opposing point of view. It isn't intended to be a mask for nazis to defend other nazis.

The response to my new gothic symphonic metal album has been better than I imagined. For anyone who might like a different take on the gothic symphonic metal genre, here's where you can listen to the 16 song album: distrokid.com/hyperfollow/... #gothic #symphonicmetal #metal #gothicsymphonicmetal

Over my lifetime having my beliefs challenged has helped me unlearn incorrect and sometimes harmful perspectives. I hate to think of who I'd be if various people throughout my life hadn't sat me down and had a calm conversation with me, explaining their perspective and challenging my own. #nsfw

It's pretty telling of humanity that most people get violent and destructive when they think the world is ending when they could just organize a massive orgy and go out with a satisfying bang.

Please *buy* music (digital, physical). One bought album is equal to literal thousands of streams on Spotify et al. Streams are nearly literally equivalent to nothing at all, for an artist.

We filed our appeal in Hachette v. Internet Archive yesterday. If we are unsuccessful in our fight, libraries won’t be allowed to own and lend digital books, only license them from big media corporations. Why is that bad for YOU? 🧵in comments blog.archive.org/2023/12/15/i...

This app and its variants are basically just show and tell for adults. That isn't me knocking it, I actually love it.

Are there any other composers on this app? Amateur or professional it'd be cool to have our own bluesky community

"There are no rules, only context." Adam Neely said this in the context of music in one of his videos, and when I heard it put that way, I understood what my jazz guitar teacher was getting at years ago. It applies to more in music than just jazz. Even in the classical style symphony I wrote...

Dunking on politicians and maga trolls was a fun way to pass the time on *that other* app. Hoping the temptation doesn't come back though, there's so much idiocy on there.
