New Castlevania is a worthy successor to the SOTN & GBA + DS games that were all in the same vein. The people who made Dead Cells created it. There’s a few things about it that I’d tweak to make it feel more Castlevania-y, but still. It’s pretty damn great.

Started the new Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Gorgeous graphics and good gameplay, but as always with any anime or story-heavy game I struggle to care about the plot; and plot is a major selling point of Fire Emblem.

Onimusha is really good, but it still suffers a lot from modern game tropes. Lots of walk to person, watch cutscene for fetch quest, do fetch quest that == killing bad guys. But when it’s good it’s really good.
