I have actually heard people deny someone’s queerness because they were someone that they found objectionable. I think there are some who equate queerness and intersectionality with inherent moral superiority. They are the only ones who’ve ever made me feel unwelcome.

The thing is that most people who are Queer or intersectional I’ve met being in that space and being a baby queer have been just the most genuine, creative, chillest, fun, and raucously funny. There are a vocal minority, say five percent likely less who wear their intersectionality as merit badges.
