The whole Expanse trilogy, starting with Leviathan Wakes, is really great. My favorite sci-fi series of the last 25 years (maybe ever) is Ann Leckie's trilogy that starts with Ancillary Justice. If you have any interest in philosophy, Jo Walton's The Just City and its sequels are terrific.

Piranesi is so wonderful. For a while I read it every year starting on new Year's Day to kick off the new reading yet.

It is, at the very least, an interesting gamble and it's kind of cool that Mendes got whatever studio to sign on for that. Plus, there are a lot of Beatles maniacs out there. I can see regular all day marathons of the four movies in the future or an 8 hour super cut splicing the r movies together.

Massachusettes "Millionaires Tax", which was targeted to fund transportation and education, has been a resounding success. It has funded FREE school lunch for ALL students, FREE buses in lowest income communities (people can get to work, etc.), and FREE community college. And "exodus" was minimal.

When ours was still mostly a sleepy potato/napped very hard, up until 2-3 months,we would take him to regular screenings on weekdays when we were pretty sure they'd be empty. We brought baby earmuff for him and he'd sleep through the whole movie (in this case the dark room was to our advantage).
