In 2000-2002 I was Fall Out Boy adjacent; I ran in a crowd that sometimes overlapped with theirs. I saw them in church basements, I had their first EP in a cardboard sleeve, we were all in a McDonald’s together one time etc. Anyway I’ve been listening to From Under the Cork Tree and it holds up!

One thing I love about working in childcare is that we’re all women or present as women (2/7 of us are non-binary) so when an unfamiliar man shows up we all go on alert like “why is there a MAN here? Who is that MAN???”
