Called it. The father was charged with punching the child while the mother did witness intimidation to cover it up. www.wbur.org/news/2026/09...
The case was reported to the state in early 2025. Both parents were charged in connection with an incident at the family’s Southborough home in late January of that year, according to court documents. WBUR is not identifying the teenager, who is a minor.

Joseph Kutzko was accused of punching and threatening his then-15-year-old child at the family home on Jan. 28, 2025, records from Westborough District Court show. A Southborough police detective wrote that Kutzko punched the victim in the shoulder and pulled them by their hair. Kutzko later allegedly threatened to kill the victim “for not singing in tune during a birthday celebration,” according to court records.

Kutzko was arrested the next day and pleaded not guilty. In setting bail, the judge referred to three prior restraining orders against Kutzko, one of which is permanent. She did not say whether any are tied to this case.

The child’s mother, Arlene Kutzko, was charged with witness intimidation after allegedly pressuring the child to “tell the school that she was exaggerating and being stupid.”

Now this does not mean his endless lies don't cause their own damage. They're toxic to democracy. And it doesn't mean he believes what he says; usually he doesn't care. But it is noteworthy that the few times he does believe what he says, it's dead wrong, and it leads to disaster.
011
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
In examples large and small, the same pattern emerges: the few things he actually believes, he acts on, and the result is disaster.
111
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
A third example: fixing the Reflecting Pool. Any rational person would look at the previous attempts, and understand this is not an easy problem, there is no quick fix. But he figures they're stupid, he's smart, he'll get it fixed, easy, fast, cheap, no problem. The results are plain to see.
111
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
So he imposes punitive tariffs and starts trade wars. The result is another disaster.
111
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Another example: he believes trade deficit is a big problem and it's how other countries are abusing us. Again he explains away every credible expert, oh they're all wrong, he's right, he knows better than all the experts.
111
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Anyone who knows anything about the subject knows that's crazy wrong. But he figures he's smart, they're stupid, he's right, previous presidents were stupid for not doing it. So he attacks Iran. And it's a disaster.
111
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
For instance: he believes getting Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions is simple! Just bomb them into submission, no complications, no risks, it'll work.
112
jpjk.bsky.social @jpjk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
He tells so many lies, does he believe them himself? Well, mostly it doesn't matter, because he doesn't care. He just says those things to make the sale. He doesn't care if they're true or false. But there are a few things he really believes. And they're notably the cause of his biggest disasters.

In upside-down world, Justice Alito blames "the plaintiff States and the courts" for causing the late timing of USPS' attempt to interfere in mail voting by suing to stop it. Unmentioned by Alito: USPS issued the rule in violation of an injunction. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...
Second, the plaintiff States and the courts bear a substantial share of the blame for the rule’s timing. In April, the plaintiff States sued to challenge the President’s internal directive to subordinates mandating a rulemaking. For months, this litigation cast a cloud over the Government’s ability to issue a final rule. The District Court entered several injunctions months later prohibiting the Government from undertaking that rulemaking. Not only was the Government subject to months of premature litigation and a series of injunctions that this Court later determined were likely issued without jurisdiction, the Government had to wait nearly another full month for this Court to issue its decision so holding. Indeed, this Court spent from late July to the end of August drafting nearly 40 pages of opinions, including two dissents, despite the Government’s public notice that it would not publish a final rule while subject to the injunctions, see 91 Fed. Reg. 44880, and its representation that it had a strong interest in issuing its rule in early- to mid-August to allow time to implement it. The plaintiff States cannot claim the timing of the rule tilts the equities

Spinning back to this to note that, notwithstanding the majority decision, Justice Alito's determination to blame, in part, the lower courts is another example of the TERRIBLE job the justices are doing mistreating the lower courts, especially district courts.
