Released a new track this week, it is 12 minutes of slowly glitching, decaying piano. Donating all proceeds to Medical Aid for Palestinians and raised £100 so far. Check it here: jphiggins.bandcamp.com/track/octobe...

Made some amazing sounding mics for super cheap using some em172 capsules I've had unused spare for years. Used some super cheap XLR adapters as the mic bodies and then finished them off with some 3d printed parts

Photograph of two small silver and orange pencil microphones on orange 3d printed shock mounts screwed into a stereo bar

Unreasonably excited by this little clip on mic arm for mid-side, xy and blumlein pairs on one stand

Two large diaphragm condensers on a mic stand in a mid -side recording setup. One is connected in the usual place hanging upside down. The other is directly underneath connected to a small arm that bolts onto the mic stand.

Trying out thick ceramic piezo elements (meant for ultrasonic misters) as contact mics. They sound really good, much less resonant and honky than standard metal ones but, less sensitive so need more preamp juice

Four dark grey and white piezo elements piled up on a desk next to a geophone element which is a small metal cylinder with two pins sticking out the top

Finally got around to going through all 360+ @airwindows.com plugins, sorted them into folders and picked out favourites. Thought there might be 10 or 20 I would really like, ended up favouriting about 100. If you've not checked them out, do! www.airwindows.com
