Made some amazing sounding mics for super cheap using some em172 capsules I've had unused spare for years. Used some super cheap XLR adapters as the mic bodies and then finished them off with some 3d printed parts

Unreasonably excited by this little clip on mic arm for mid-side, xy and blumlein pairs on one stand

Two large diaphragm condensers on a mic stand in a mid -side recording setup. One is connected in the usual place hanging upside down. The other is directly underneath connected to a small arm that bolts onto the mic stand.

Trying out thick ceramic piezo elements (meant for ultrasonic misters) as contact mics. They sound really good, much less resonant and honky than standard metal ones but, less sensitive so need more preamp juice
