We are witnessing an ongoing genocide in Gaza and those who speak out against Israel’s violent actions in Palestine are sanctioned. It’s perverse (not to mention illegal) for countries to enable the perpetrators of genocide while punishing those who oppose it.

Am I correct in understanding that the story in the UK today is that someone chose to chant "death to IDF" and *not* that the IDF is shooting civilians trying to access food at aid distribution sites? Right.

The overnight resumption of devastating mass atrocities in Gaza – killing and maiming hundreds of Palestinians through Israeli military airstrikes – is deeply horrifying and must stop immediately. Our statement: lphr.org.uk/latest-news/...
Screenshot of statement dated 18 March 2025, available at the link

'The overnight resumption of devastating mass atrocities in Gaza – killing and maiming hundreds of Palestinians through Israeli military airstrikes – is deeply horrifying and must stop immediately. Indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks in flagrant disregard of international humanitarian law betray humanity and constitute serious international crimes.

The trapped and immiserated population of Gaza must not be re-subjected to a terrifying extended campaign of utter horror, suffering and trauma. We urge an immediate return to a state of ceasefire and call on the UK government to decisively act against Israel’s return to perpetrating massive violence in Gaza.'

for a @lawsadrag.bsky.social forum theatre project we're planning, we recently ran various warm up activities, inc. drawing yourself while closing your eyes. All good fun. Days later, going through paperwork, HORRIFIED to discover this image staring back at me
A pen drawing of something that might once have been human, on lined paper. Clearly done while James had his eyes closed. There is a bald head, a dislocated chin, expressionless eyes, orbs to indicate lungs and a heart, disembodied, lifeless, disjointed. Legs are angled sideways in an uncanny and irregular fashion. It's unnerving.
