Rather than more protests in the streets, I want to see more financial boycotts of big corporate retailers, like Walmart, Amazon, & Target (because of their policies). I would continue to support Costco. We can find stuff we need second hand, which would help us save $$ in this tanking economy.

If nothing changes as a result of the protests, resisters are going to get frustrated and cynical. That could result in people giving up, or it could lead to violence. There are other forms of resistance that could be even more impactful.

April 5 Hands Off was effective because it was the first protest of that magnitude in several years. Having another protest a couple of weeks later will not have the same impact. I doubt that it will get as much media attention, as people will say, "There they go again."

I have been hearing rumors, that DJT will declare martial law on April 20 and that more protests will take place on April 19. IMO protesting on April 19 would be a huge mistake. Even though they are likely to be peaceful, DJT would love to use it as an excuse when declaring martial law.

The "Hands Off" protests were also well-timed, being shortly after the tariffs were implemented and the stock market started its free fall. We even got some attention from mainstream media.

IMO, the protests on April 5 were highly effective. There were thousands of organized protests, attended by millions. Those of us who went felt the camaraderie & expressed our frustration. As far as I know, all of the protests that day were 100% peaceful, as they should be.
