this actually reminded me about something (link: bsky.app/profile/joyc...) this is how my steam profile got to level 76. I mean I guess I did get to decorate it more, and that's sort of nice, but I'm not sure it was worth all the effort I went into to earn the right to do so

"this is a good post. I also don't really like steam trading cards very much. The only other good thing about them is sometimes developers get creative with original art and descriptions they drew and wrote for them, and if they didn't exist they could just apply that effort somewhere else somehow.

I at one point used a command line utility to auto farm all my ungot cards for me by pinging the steam servers to pretend I was playing my games when I was not truly doing so. However I stopped doing this after I realized that it made it difficult to tell what of my library I had and had not played

(also, a friend saying "hey what did you think of this game" and me seeing I had only five to eight hours logged in it I didn't remember doing and saying "oh... I didn't actually play it, I just had my computer pretend to play it for the cards" started to get embarrassing. I wish I hadn't done it)"

So, given that I like onee-loli, and also like adult-teen yuri, and enjoy both varieties of tension that these two different configurations of age gap yuri create, and also am what I would call an extreme polygamy cultist, the idea came naturally. I like Yuzumori-san, Wataten!, and Onee-san wa Joshi, and I also like My First Love's Kiss, Contract Sisters, and Hitozuma Kyoushi ga Oshiego no Joshikousei ni Dohamari Suru Hanashi. Why not combine them?

The idea that would metastasize into The Angel Factory came to me last year, while reading Yuzumori-san, a yuri manga about a high school girl who develops a crush on an elementary school girl, and said elementary school girl who reciprocates that crush."

tapped out a bit of overly long letterboxd commentary on my way back i guess tl;dr, Hollywood can still make good comic book movies and there's still good comic book movies yet unmade, and until recently this was one of those

My five star review of the film saying
"yeah sorry I'm adding to the pile of fivers here. I am a simple woman; you make a good movie, I say it's good. I'm honestly kind of stunned by how good this is. The action choreography and cinematography is awesome as others have said, but the thing I am most impressed with here is how well they threaded the needle of telling a damn good story that takes advantage of continuity while also not being burdened by it. Most other MCU movies (and shared universe films in general) feel like they're trying to find workarounds for the problem of the now labyrinthine continuity that the series has built and that every subsequent entry is indebted to, but this movie finally and genuinely pulls off the beautiful magic trick that comic book writers have been practicing and refining for decades of making a story arc in a larger series both build on what came before and also feel standalone, such that you can (ideally) pick up an issue or a volume at any time, any point in the history of the series, and not feel like you've missed anything too important. Canon can be a door to a new story to tell, just as easily as it can appear to be a wall precluding one from being told, and I hope (keyword: hope) that future MCU screenwriters keep finding the keys."

I was really interested in Han-Byeol's ideology with God and the factory and how strong her character was throughout the entire story. I definitely believe she was the rope that tied this game together. I feel very bad for her though :( since she's really only just a child.

All three of them have immense issues colored by their upbringings in a strict Korean family. It stuck out to me that Jenny and Han‑byeol being punished growing up caused some wires to be crossed in their psyches in terms of finding pleasure from the pain. Ga‑yeong specifically is so so awful in a way that kinda makes sense due to her immense desire to escape her "normalcy" that she feels herself and her family has been complacent with, and I adore her for it.

These girls are all very fucked up but in a fun way. Thank you to everyone who worked on this for sharing!"

i do have to also mention that due to my bsky accessibility thread i obviously feel responsible seeing the multiple patch notes so i just want to point out that in the case of this vn, at least in the latest 1.0.9 version, the autohighlight wasnt disruptive to my reading experience compared to some other vns. i did try to turn it off seeing the option was there, but im sorry to point out that the toggle doesnt work properly in the version i played. lol. eitherway i played it with the script on and had a good time"
