As a bookseller, I'm not even sure I should be talking up the Stokers, but that seems so unfair to the winners. But the way the organization is run, i.e. insufficient rules on who can be nominated, feels like it's compromised. Total betrayal of writers who should be able to celebrate the huge win.

Oh for sure, there's enough grossness in horror as a whole to cover a small planet in sludge. I mean the small world of contemporary horror, particularly the small-potatoes short story publishers that I hold dear. I had the impression it's less tolerant of hate & harassment once they come to light.
