I’ve been watching some of The Rainbow Plant Life’s videos, and it’s encouraged me to get some different spices than we normally keep stocked. I’m actually REALLY excited to try some of these in cooking! I plan to try some of her recipes, but I can’t wait to try them in other dishes we already make!

First day of my mental health leave of absence! Scheduled a psychiatrist appointment for Monday, going to run some errands, and going to spend some time with my planner and journal. I’m definitely tired, but I’m putting one foot in front of the other to build my life back up and focusing on hope ❤️.

Having young coworkers can be rough, they don’t always get my jokes. We both went to post something in our work chat at the same time but she was able to get it sent first. I said, “Wow, you beat me to the punch! I guess you’re just such a fast woman…”. I had to explain it to her (then she laughed).

A politician running for office for our state knocked on our door this afternoon. It was a great conversation and he made the comment of “sometimes you just gotta punch Nazis” and laughed REALLY hard when I told him about this bit of Bob’s Burgers. Might have secured my vote with that, lol.

I just updated my iPhone 17 to iOS 27, and I knew they said it would feel faster, but wow! It’s subtle, but it feels so much zippier and responsive! I know battery life will be blah the first few days, but I’m excited to see how it does after the indexing is done!

I’m bummed, next week was supposed to be mid 80s, but the expected temps have shot up to mid 90s with my birthday being the hottest. I remember when I was younger, the temperatures would start dropping around my bday and sometimes be cool enough to wear a cozy hoody. I guess those bdays are gone.

IMO, this move by the Grammy’s was to protect American made music. There has been a REALLY big influx of K-Pop and J-Pop into our music, and it’s starting to edge out some of our stateside artists. If you put k-pop/j-pop in their own category, you can pretend it’s not out performing USA.

It feels like society is like this with ANY subject. People being dismissive of learning math is crazy to me. If you learned something new at work and then start doing it, congrats, you “used the math you learned in school”. School is as much about learning HOW to learn as it is the material.

A feature I wish EVs had is a “5 minute cool down” option for fast charging. Mine charges super fast, which heats up the battery, then the car has to use energy to cool back down after unplugging. The cool down would throttle to like 20kW and would prioritize cooling the battery to extend range.

I’ve actually seen it said that this is a big reason why we have such a huge problem with disinformation. Look at the news sources that are “free” (with enough ads to crash your browser) vs the sources that are pay walled. There are MANY great sources out there free, of course, but not as many.

1) I pulled a coworker aside and, pointing out the window, told them a cool fact about nature they didn’t know. They were actually pretty excited about learning it, lol. 2) I was told by two people that I “carry dad energy”, and they truly appreciate it because it brings a sense of calm to the team.
