Finally got to see If I Go Will They Miss Me, an indie that’s playing in a handful of Atlanta theaters. It’s a really strong film - reminded me a lot of Moonlight, although not at that level. (Granted, it’s tough to compete with a masterpiece.) Keep this one on your radar when it hits streaming.

How I Met Your Mother, wiping out right at the finish line. I was even okay with most of that mediocre final season. It was the last episode, which undid years of compelling stories because the creators forced an ending the characters had outgrown.

I hoped that Iñárritu and Cruise collaborating on Digger would elevate their strengths and diminish their individual weaknesses. Instead, the reverse happened: the combination of massive egos created a thuddingly obvious, insufferable film that thinks it's a lot smarter than it is.

25th Hour is a masterpiece. United 93 is excellent, but I could only watch it once. Don’t know if it counts as a “film,” but the Come From Away proshot on Apple TV+ is incredible.
