I also take issue with the tv format vs. movie. the jarring cut between episode 9 → 10 really killed the momentum of what should have been the crescendo of the whole story. and E9 ends in daytime and E10 begins at night? I get it, some time has passed but watching back to back was confusing/messy

nice. it kinda reminds me of fraktur/blackletter typefaces but rendered in a more techy way. as an alternate, try increasing the contrast between vertical lines compared to the horizontal/diagonals. these were drawn with a calligraphy pen at a 30 degree angle, give or take

interesting that Substack doesnt allow you to put alt text in an image but does include, for some inexplicable reason, to include a prediction market in your post?

this looks a bit mangled (read: beloved) but my New York style cheesecake turned out really good. it was an absolute hit crust was made of Digestives and I reduced the sugar a bit overall to accentuate the cheese/sour cream combo

kind of an interesting chart shape of "AI Unfriendly" website statistics on builtwith. these are described as "Websites that actively block or restrict AI agents, crawlers, and large language model (LLM) systems from accessing or indexing their content" trends.builtwith.com/link/AI-Unfr...

in a remarkable twist of fate, I've ended up watching 3 Rob Corddry performances all within a few weeks of each other. Curb Your Enthusiasm (S5, E7): 2005 Ballers: 2015 The Audacity: 2026 I remember Rob from his time on The Daily Show (2002-2006) which predates his appearance on Curb

tbh your orange on your site does not give me the same vibe as claude, no worries. this example is more about the totality of all of the colors across the whole page which leads me to believe this was a bit too "inspired" = even the text color is exact same hue, just changed ever so slightly.

Josh Pindjak @joshpindjak.biz · 03/06/2026
why does every website look like Claude now? these colors are a comparison between a product by a very well-known VC guy's new company vs. Claude. can you tell which is which? have we ran out of ideas so quickly that everything must be directly ripped 1:1 and not even changed a little bit?
6 color samples arranged in 2 columns, marked A and B. The color samples are pulled from text color, background color and brand accent.

in-app survey Figma just sent me. I think they're getting nervous or maybe rediscovering who their audience actually is
A survey in Figma reading:
"Thinking of your work in the last 6 months, which of these most accurately represents your experience?"

Options (check boxes):
I wrote/edited/generated code mainly for exploration or prototyping
I wrote/edited/generated code intended to be eleased to users (shipped to production)
I didn't write/edit/generate code

I made Salt Bread for the first time over the weekend, with a crucial edit: I “pretzeled” the outside by dipping in an alkaline (bicarb soda) solution. the result was perfect. interior cavity created by the butter block and a chewy exterior crust. I think i will develop this further.

one of my (least?) favorite Dark Patterns is in the iOS Music app. I have never once used or wanted to search Apple Music for anything, and when I search in this app, my sole reason for doing so is to search my own Library, and yet, every single time the "Apple Music" tab is selected by default.

I also made this little contraption to make it easier to dip the twisted pretzels in the lye solution much easier without destroying the shape of the pretzel. everything is 100% stainless steel so it doesn’t corrode. dip for 10-15s, add salt, bake immediately

baked a batch of Philly soft pretzels because they don’t exist in australia. it’s a 2-day process and requires food grade lye (and also pretzel salt which also apparently doesn’t exist in australia for some reason)

just saw this nice (+ hilarious) mention of Tabba.so in this newsletter 😂 thecuriousprocrastinator.beehiiv.com/p/80
Useful for people who basically live in their browser and do not need six separate apps just to note a task, check a timezone, and find the copyright symbol again. Also the hour-by-hour view of your year is mildly unsettling, which is part of why it works.

this is how you do a good free trial for your SaaS: instead of trying to trick me into upgrading or charging my card, @sentry.io simply moves me to the free tier and shows me how much of my limits I used during my trial. great way to build trust + demonstrate value 🙏
email from Sentry telling me my free trial has completed:

Your free 14-day Business trial has ended
Your organization, Modus, has completed its 14-day free trial. Any events you’ve sent to Sentry during this trial will not be billed.

Your organization will automatically be moved to a free developer plan with a limited number of events across errors, replays, and spans. Events beyond these limits will be dropped.

Below is a summary of your usage during the Business trial to help you understand your current monitoring needs. To ensure continued monitoring, head to your subscription settings to upgrade your plan.
