Subjective criticism: Drum parts are quite lazy. Most of the songs could have been elevated by some inspired percussion parts. Very, very few deviations from simply following the rhythm guitar.

Finally gave the new Scowl album a few full play throughs. Pretty extreme genre leap for the band. Best way I can describe it is that it sounds like a less polished Garbage album (not really a criticism, it’s nearly impossible to out-polish Butch Vig).
