I think it's really common for folks to add neat details like this to their site like Mercury, Ramp, or Figma right clicking their home page logos, but it's frequently at the expense of browser capabilities. Trying something where we keep browser link options and append brand links.

Leveraging modes, I reduced a token collection that was 240 tokens to only 60. This removes tokens like text-on-danger, text-danger and instead designers focus on what the token is doing in the surface rather than the state its in, this follows patterns from mode.place. #designsky

In Figma, we add an inset white shadow to provide additional contrast to dark surfaces with a shadow. We have to use shadows in dark mode to provide depth when draggable windows exist in the canvas. We're doing more explorations on possible improvements though.

This is frustrating too.

Minimum wages for tipped employees.

Most southern states have the federal minimum of 2.13 an hour but other states have a lower than minimum wage amount. California, Washington, and Oregon, all meet their states minimum wage.

"Pride versioning" 2.7.123 where
2 is the proud version, bump when you are proud of the release
7 is the default version, bump when normal/okay releases
123 is the shame version, bump when fixing things too embarrassing to admit
