Wilderness returns with high-end indulgence, and a question about who it's really for.

I saw Rebecca Frecknall's take on the Sarah Kane classic, Cleansed, at the Almeida Theatre last night and ohhhhhh boy it was intense. Go see it if you can (trigger warning: everything triggering imaginable)

We're beginning six months of cladding remediation works at my flat and let me tell you the sound of a drill and banging plus the heatwave make for.......interesting remote working conditions

BST Hyde Park 2026: Duran Duran
If there was an experiment for how to create the perfect conditions for a day festival, then Hyde Park was the petri dish.

Aaaand we go again. Serious time last week in Barcelona for Primavera Sound. But today I’ll be hopping between bars in Walthamstow for Another Thought. Excited for a two step to some dance and electronic 😌☝️

Fab write up from this weekends Gala. Easily one of the best curated and organised festivals for London's electronic and dance heads. Keen to do all three days next year. 👇 festivalsandgigs.com/reviews/gala...

The mind boggles at how some people are attacking Caroline Lucas for running an "irrelevant" Green Party. One set of strong local elections and it goes to people's heads. Taking a party from literal obscurity to winning your first ever Parliamentary seat was a monumental achievement at the time.

I'm really suprirsed so many jumped to the conclusion that this is Wes backing Andy for leadership lol

Josh @joshdxn.bsky.social · 14/05/2026
Have great sympathy with Zack around his personal safety and the intrusion of the press, but I simply cannot countenance the idea that a party leader just...did not vote in the election? www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

Zack Polanski admits he did not vote in local elections
Green Party leader had previously indicated through a spokesman that he had cast a postal vote in Hackney

Josh @joshdxn.bsky.social · 14/05/2026
So you're saying Wes has resigned but is not running (yet) in the hope of a long contest so Andy has to identify a seat, fight a by election and jump the NEC hurdles which might also trigger Keir to block said plans so he can take on Wes in a short contest and....win? Right....RIGHT?

Josh @joshdxn.bsky.social · 14/05/2026
The radio silence from the Wes camp surely not a good sign for him?

Cannot wait for the national humilitation of Wes Streeting tomorrow. Totally blown it, hasn't he?

Keir going down the "come and have a go if you're think you're hard enough" route then. Knows soft left cannot force him to set out a timetable which means.....the ball is firmly in Streeting's court?

Mad that the very weird "Male political haircuts" account is still going over on twitter...

Did Cathy Newman just jump up and scream "YES!!!" in the background of sky news just then ffs

Josh @joshdxn.bsky.social · 11/05/2026
Genuinely embarrassing. All that noise over the weekend which I couldn't help but admire is now just asking MPs to privately tell her whether they want Keir gone or not??? Aren't you all just discussing that anyway lol

Starmer saying the Tories changing leaders ‘cost this country a huge amount’. No! Replacing Truss saved us a huge amount!

Maybe I am naive but if you are were stuffed as Keir is would you not just have gone absolutely all in with this speech? Throw in some major policy commitments at the very least? Instead he's doubled down and just reaffirmed existing policies? It's like he wants to go down.

It's a Sky News kinda day, I fear. Idk why but political crises don't hit the same on the BBC anymore.

I think its evident that the only way forward for Keir Starmer is for him to make a clear commitment on speedy boarding for veterans to save his leadership.

Had a feeling the Greens would take my patch of Telegraph Hill and New Cross but the votes are quite astonishing. Labour polled 76% in Telegraph Hill in 2022. The Greens took all three seats this time. Huge.

Why is it so difficult to find results of the elections for Lewisham? Council website...nothing. Council social media...nothing. Even news websites claiming to be covering the results are giving me nothing. HELP!

Made a right meal of voting this morning. Dropped the pencil, briefly crossed the wrong box and nearly left with my ballot papers. Anyway, excited to see what happens tomorrow in Lewisham and beyond. I may also be dusting off my canvassing trainers to help some old pals later 👀

This drives me mad. As a penalty I should simply be allowed to slide across the bonnet of each and every car parked like this as a way to navigate the streets.
A series of cars parked on the pavement
in London leaving very little room for pedestrians.

Can confirm Lidl’s new chocolate fudge cake slice for 59p is excellent. Not quite at the quality levels of their iconic brownie but a worthy addition to the bakery line up. And yes, this is me attempting to post more.

Polymarket has created a betting market on the use of nuclear weapons. Everyone involved in this should be put in prison for life.
A screenshot of the Polymarket website showing a prediction market titled "Nuclear weapon detonation by...?" under the Geopolitics and Ukraine categories. The market displays three betting options with their current probabilities and "Buy Yes" or "Buy No" prices: "March 31" at 5%, "June 30" at 12%, and "Before 2027" at 22%. The total trading volume shown is over $843,000.
