My favourite slide(s): the steady increase in average charge speed and energy delivered (per session and in total) for each country and the entire network:

That's just Milence of course, there are already quite a few live MCS sites in Germany from other CPOs: www.mcslocator.app

No live MCS in Germany, but it is coming! 😎

Another helpful example. This may make you feel good, but is the net effect of this sort of behaviour good or bad for trans people? I think it pushes people away, which hurts support for trans people, and that someone looking to advance the interests of the trans community should think about this.

Great chart updates as always, thank you. Just fyi, California CNCDA chart appears to be wrong, CNCDA reports 17% ZEV share in Q2 which would also align with the energy.ca.gov on the right.

Spark gap might actually be getting worse, it really needs to be less than 3 to see uptake start to gain momentum. The Dutch install a lot of heat pumps, is it any wonder when they have a spark gap of less than 1 (I'm not even sure how that's possible)

Lastly, have you updated your fab wind/solar/fuel cell scale up chart since 2022?

Top message starts off with "This is actual feedback", so looks like she's just passing on what other people have said, but Jenrick appears to be trying to spin that as her saying it.

For Fastned's entire network the average charge time has been 24 minutes every year. In 2020 the average session charge speed was 43kW and dispensed 17kWh. Fast forward to 2025 and the same length session of 24 minutes saw an average speed of 69kW (+60%), dispensing 27kWh (+59%).

The country differences in charging behaviour from Fastned's data is also interesting, I've tried charting some of it here: Germans are charging a lot faster! In 2025 they spent 3 minutes longer charging, but gained 3x more kWh. The Dutch spend the least time charging.

Fleet share figures for 2024, and perhaps more interestingly as the info is harder to find, distance travelled by car powertrain:

I'm not relying on my anecdotal experience, that was just to add some colour, although I am surprised at the number of people I've spoken to who care about immigration but wouldn't vote Reform. Danish style reforms poll well, even with Greens, though this may change once they're more politicised.

The reforms even poll well with Green voters, although this may change as they become less abstract and more politicised.

So while it doesn't counter anything I said, you should still consider that pull-forward spike. Jan-July '25 BEV sales were +10% over Jan-July '23, and will likely return to growth over '23 by the end of the year. Note the Aug '23 and Dec '22 incentive phase-out spikes.

Yes it would be important to try and ensure any moderation system doesn't stifle genuine debate about contentious issues. X appears to try and consider that too in their guidelines (although might just be inherited from Twitter):

Hateful conduct and harassment are against the X guidelines, along with attacking someone on the basis of race/etc:

Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the case, Quebec saw similar seasonal impacts to FCEV efficiency: www.bv.transports.gouv.qc.ca/mono/1323826...

Thank you! Looks like it is intermittent, UFH + rads, and set to run at 30% in wait mode, and min permitted speed of 25%. Problem (minor) is after DHW heating it doesn't seem to circulate and so the temps are elevated from that and take ages to cool down when mild...will query forum later 🙂

I'm sympathetic to arguments that Twitter struck the wrong balance, and that cancel culture went too far, but I don't think that means any sort of behaviour can go unchecked. I mean this is a literal nazi account harassing a woman for being in an interracial marriage...where do you draw the line?

Who should be addressing the hundreds of racist replies? “卍 Aryan Queen 卍” doesn’t care about getting called a disgrace, it doesn’t undo the torrent of racism unleashed on the married couple, and who wants to spend their time doing that? Are you volunteering?

Yeah it's a dire situation, unsurprisingly. Sales of passenger car FCEVs peaked in 2022 and are now in the single digits, and the fleet of registered FCEVs has been declining for over a year:

Chart with data specific to the UK, but is a worldwide trend, price difference between ICE and EV models has steadily declined while number of 'affordable' EV models has increased:

RMP is not rational, I got blocked for disputing the screenshot he posted showed production intent for FCEVs by automakers. It’s quite clearly just erroneous data for the most part.

Josh @joshdoug.bsky.social · 18/02/2025
Ah, blocked because I made the point that irrelevant data doesn't prove the claims he's making. I suppose that makes RMP a "baby man"?

Josh @joshdoug.bsky.social · 18/02/2025
Regardless, back to the original claim. This screenshot appears to be cumulative production totals, and in several cases it appears data has been erroneously classed as hydrogen. Data often has issues, Elon Musk & DOGE post nonsense every day they think is some grand conspiracy but is just duff data

Unless you're referring to a first generation Leaf (not a widely applicable example) then claims of a 50% range/charge drop are not accurate. Also, FCEVs see a decrease in efficiency/range in winter too, Quebec saw a drop of ~26% in their fleet.

Also, not sure what is up with your Carbon Counter chart, have you fiddled with the customisations? Here it is with the defaults:

Josh @joshdoug.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
Not only that, but in some countries the number of FCEVs on the road (not just sales!) is now also declining, like in Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands:

Josh @joshdoug.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
Reality is FCEV sales are both negligible and have declined in leading markets like South Korea, Japan, and the US:

Josh @joshdoug.bsky.social · 28/12/2024
It's good that hybrid sales are growing while there are still non-hybrid ICE sales for them to take share from. FCEV sales are conspicuously absent from that chart, here they are, on track to be worse than any year since 2015:

I reached out and they insisted I delete all posts referencing it, quite unreasonable but who knows how many people may end up subscribing to their blocklist/aggregating into other block lists. Certainly quite a big downside to these blocklists.
