Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 22/03/2025I'm so late to the game with this one. After struggling a bit reading from the primary source, Jung's work is coming through crystal clear in this book. 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 22/02/2025Visualising it like this helped make it click (at least for me) 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 22/02/2025Hopefully this helps some people. I think I've been misunderstanding *every* meditation practice that uses attention to move into *now*. (Disclaimer: I might still be wrong, but right in a placebo sense) jordanm.co.uk/2025/02/22/m... 130
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 16/12/2024The moon is putting on a show tonight, I've never seen halos like this before. 000
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 16/12/2024This man has his gratitude levels perfectly adjusted. My ultimate old man goal is to get to this level where hedonic adaptation has been unwound back to child-like wonder. (If it's even possible) 120
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 06/12/2024Probably my most highlighted part of your book because it's so damn relatable. (And the David Whyte quote just hits 🤌) 011
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 05/12/2024This caught my attention when watching an MTV throwback to Madonna and William Orbit recording Ray of Light (I'm an Orbit-obsessive). It looks like they storyboard their tracks 🤯 I need to figure out what that "— FRENZY —" section is all about. 120
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 04/12/2024There is something unexplainably homely about Verdana. It's like seeing an old friend again. I'm seriously considering reverting to the original web safe font. 130
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 04/12/2024My favourite toys of the year. The Pocket Operator was a massive influence over my digital minimalism drive for the first half of the year (I'm now off the wagon but want to get back on for the holiday season). Both tools are fun in their own way. 110
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 02/12/2024I love it - their whole ethos seems to lend itself to much richer search results (at least in my experience). They have this neat feature called "lenses" where you can get it to hone the results in on harder to reach corners of the web. It definitely gives me a 90's/early 00's web type of feeling 250
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 28/11/2024I have the dumbest feature request for the @bsky.app team: I would love the Bluesky equivalent of Winamp skins for the UI. It would serve no other functional purpose other than it would be cool to look at and stuff. 030
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 28/11/2024Added some additional graphics to my horizontal blog. It's the most cumbersome, restrictive format, along with my recent change-up to comic book imagery restricts things further... yet I can't bring myself to scrap it for something that would make publishing a lot easier. 130
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 27/11/2024My history is a mix of work* and the part of my brain that _insists_ on investigating pointless things right this instant. *(some partially sensitive work things pixelated) 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 27/11/2024And it seems to be digitally faithful to the source material, "A Sign Systems Manual" (1970). Very nice. 000
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 27/11/2024Airport looks like a workhorse of a typeface from Revolver Type. The sample site really puts it through its paces! 230
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 27/11/2024yeah, I'm not getting the sense that they're out to do anything nasty. It genuinely seems like they're in it for fun and learning. 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 26/11/2024My daughter found my old iPhone 3GS box and couldn't wrap her head around the icons... "Look at the YouTube one, it's SO much better!" ... "WOW, look at the compass app! Why did they change it?" She then went off to Google some old app interfaces 🥲❤️ 040
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 25/11/2024Honestly, it's just nice to have another place to hang out on the web. I grew up enjoying the possibilities on the Wild West era of the web which, for me, was nicely captured by Microsoft's old slogan. 130
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 25/11/2024How lucky are we to get to have another Monday on the planet? Lucky that consciousness booted up this morning. Lucky to exist at this exact time in the history of the universe - to be here NOW, on the bleeding edge. And lucky to be a human to recognise it. Monday's blue skies are a cherry on top. 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 24/11/2024Sam Harris touches on a similarly useful gratitude hack in his book, Waking Up. 030
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 23/11/2024William B. Irvine's "A Guide to the Good Life" is the book that had the biggest impact on me this year. I've had a bit of a casual relationship with Stoicism up until now where I had a few books in my collection (Meditations, Epictetus, some Ryan Holiday etc) but Bill's book really hit different… 230
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 21/11/2024"that was all just a personal growth test, and you passed! (as long as you keep the subscription running of course otherwise i'll get sad again)" 010
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 27/05/2023New post up on my Substack celebrating the iPod Shuffle's stubbornness as an I-Shaped device and some ponderings about future I-Shaped hardware... jordanmoore.substack.com/p/5-an-i-s… 000
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 25/04/2023ow, this nostalgia actually hurts my soul. I long for everything about this. that feeling of a fresh install, those stock games, knowing that you'll install new games that the pc is more capable of, the sheer possibility when you dial into the internet, tech and wonder in perfect balance. 000
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 22/04/2023looks like I live on the south coast of tpot. nice to share a street with @pmillerd.bsky.social 230
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 16/04/2023needs a cleanup as i normally like a clear row between the doc and the last set of icons 220
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 16/04/2023can't believe I've left it 37 years to become a dog owner. love this lil lady. (that's the top of her fluffy head + front paws) 020
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 14/04/2023i would kinda like to see self-destructing posts as a feature. 020
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 14/04/2023it still doesn't stop me from clicking the message to see if it goes "nah just kidding, here are some invites" 020
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 13/04/2023literally cannot stop playing this album. lots of people seem to be annoyed with the mix but i love how raw and flawed it sounds. 000
Jordan Moore 🕊️ @jordanm.co.uk · 13/04/2023some way of following threads of conversations particularly when they branch off in different directions. suuuuper loose concept i put together a while ago on the idea but didn't get seeing it through... 392
