In a week they’ll be spooning.

Hard to tell but they’re a foot closer together in this shot.

From la mere du Los Tiny Dogs: Thanks for fourteen and a half years of love, Alex. You were the bestest boy you knew how to be, even if you only had two brain cells to rub together, and found the world to be a terrifying and overwhelming place. I’m going to miss you. GNU Alexander of Macedon

Saw two people today I haven’t dee in decades. Haven’t seen this guy named Guy since the 80s.

Me in pink with blue hair, Guy named Guy with white hair, beard and wearing a baseball cap and plaid shirt. I met him in 1979 or possibly 1980. He had a tiny store down the hill from my parents.

It’s Folsom St AND Haight St fairs today? And Mill Value is full of Deadheads and the band I used to dance with at Haight St are now a duo playing 3 songs at a benefit in Fairfax. Which I might attend.

I tried drying the pre-cooked ones on my windowsill but they’re just as sad & soggy after 22 hours. Next time will try it uncooked. Every other mushroom I put on the windowsill I recognise.

JustJo @jopics.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

That took her less than 5 minutes to throw together, too.

JustJo @jopics.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Cut them up, put in a low heat oven with the door open. That’s the first step. Gonna try that & then let them continue drying on the windowsill over the radiator. Next week.

#MushroomMonday Lions Mane before & after. Now Imma look up how to dry them because they’re much prettier uncooked. 📷🍄 #FungiFriends #LionsMane #mushrooms

Small white fluffy ball in my hand looks like a snowball, is a fungus

Undersides of Lions Mane mushrooms showing where they are cut off the growing medium, and that the whole thing is a cluster of fibrous growth

Full pan of torn up lions mane is very fluffy

Same pan, same mushroom, with most of the water cooked out of them; they look like soggy blobs.

Absolutely love the colors on Hygrocybe mushrooms. Not sure which species this is, but its pretty! I like the tiny transparent worm under its cap, too. #mushroom #fungifriends #mushrooms #nature #naturephotography #photographersofbluesky #mushroomsofbluesky #hygrocybe #waxcap 🍄📷 📸🎞 🌿🌱 🟢 🍄 🍄‍🟫

A beautiful, bright orange, and very tiny mushroom grows against out-of-focus, bluish-black and brown soil and cedar duff. This tiny mushroom barely stands an inch tall and is uniformly colored. Its stipe is smooth and is angled slightly to the right. Its cap is slightly roughly textured and is wet with rain. The edges of the cap are wavy and uneven.
