Gotta Find Me a Future Part Two: Dawn (14/16)

Page 52
A full page illustration in grayscale. An shot of the crowd in front of the stage from above, where Pearl and Marina are tiny specks on the stage, but blown up huge on the screen behind them. Around the drawing of the crowd are interstitial reaction shots of Agents Four, Eight, Three, Neo Three, and Little Buddy, Callie (who is crying with her hands over her mouth) and Marie (who is smiling), Deep Cut (Shiver and Frye are smiling, Big Man is crying), Acht in the soundbooth, watching on the screens, and Octavio and Cuttefish. The crowd lets out an “OOOOOOOOH~”.

Page 53
A grayscale comic page depicting Pearl’s proposal to Pearl. The panels show Pearl making her speech while Marina reacts by covering her mouth and then eventually moving toward Pearl to grab her face between her hands.

Pearl: Hey ‘Rina. (The audio system repeats this at full volume before butting off with a BZZT– because Acht cuts it in the sound booth.) Rina… I– Y’know, I had this whole speech prepared and I was gonna tell you how much you mean’ta me and everything. But you already know all that.

Pearl: Y’know me– I try to live in the present, but without you… I wouldn’t have this moment, and… I just want to make sure that my present always has you in it.

Page 54
A full color comic page. Pearl and Marina are hugging, crying, and smiling, first depicted with Pearl’s face visible (and the back of Marina’s head), as she asks, “Will you marry me?” Second, they are drawn from the other angle, with Marina’s face visible as she answers, “Of course! Of course, Pearlie! Yes! Now and always!”

Page 55

A colored comic page. Pearl and Marina kiss, Marina holding Pearl’s face below and Pearl’s hands on Marina’s waist. The sky is a soft pink and purple gradient as the sun comes up behind them, and there are still stars visible at the very top of the skydome. Behind them, the Grand Fest crowd is waving pink and turquoise light sticks.

Two smaller cutout panels depict Pearl and Marina pulling apart so they can look at each other lovingly, smile, and laugh with joy.

Gotta Find Me a Future Part Two: Dawn (1/16) Without further ado, @theashemarie.bsky.social , @katiemonz.bsky.social , @lycaneum.bsky.social , and I present Gotta Find Me a Future Part Two: Dawn! #pearlina #GottaFindMeaFuture

Page 1 - COVER
A full page, full color comic cover.

The cover page depicts a backstage tent at the Grand Festival, where the idols are preparing for their Three Wishes performances. In the center of the image, Pearl’s hands are holding up a hinged compact mirror and an engagement ring. The bottom half of the mirror reveals half of Pearl’s face, smiling fondly. The top half of the mirror reflects Marina as she is putting in her earrings at a makeup vanity. She is dressed in her Grand Festival top and sweatpants, depicted from behind with her tentacles pulled up and out of the way so that her back is fully visible. Marina is lit from the front so that there is a slight glow bouncing off her skin. We can also see a bit of her face in the mirror in front of her.

The engagement ring is silver with small, turquoise stones.

The title and subtitle of the comic are inked in the top middle of the page, above the main illustration:

GOTTA FIND ME A FUTURE
Part Two: Dawn

Page 2

A grayscale comic page. It is a full page illustration of an ink droplet being shot toward the bottom of the page.

Page 3

A grayscale comic page with three panels. The ink droplet travels across the page before landing in a splatter on the ground.

Page 4
A grayscale comic page depicting two scenes from Grand Fest. The first panel is a crowd reaction shot of multiple inklings, octolings, and jellyfish reacting to the battle they're watching.

The second, bigger panel depicts the commentator booth. Two commentators, an inkling and a jellyfish, are looking up at off-screen action with microphones on the table before them. Behind them, the media crew of the event are shown in front of multiple monitors.

Happy September 🎃 #erma #halloween #ocart

Erma checks the calendar and sees it's now September. She looks under September to see October.

Erma is bummed it's not October yet. For October is usually spooky season. Someone then taps her shoulder.

Erma sees Amy wearing a witch's hat offering her a witch's hat. Erma gets excited. They decide to celebrate Spooky Season early as they witch cackle carrying a pumpkin.

It feels odd having a Universal Orlando park without the scoop vehicle. I would have loved to see another modern take with Epic Universes budget. Especially given how well Jurassic World Adventure was executed and the other rides hold up.
