Occasionally, Michigan gets the bounces. Today was, once again, not such a day.

Love that you put “in attendance” in quotes. Are they just making up numbers for the attendance figure at this point? And those numbers aren’t even reflective of reality? 111k for a packed house vs OSU: sure. 110k for a game where the student sections never filled to 80%? Doubt.

🤔 I will say it is downright bizarre for the Lions to be the *beneficiary* of this type of call. (Thanks for the explanation!)

The Goff fumble/pass? Saw but didn’t hear the call. (Long story.) What was the explanation? Even if it was a “pass,” the ball clearly went backwards. Isn’t a backward pass a live ball?

Sometimes the accept/decline penalty dilemma is fun. What’s better: To put the opposing offense in 3rd and 10, or 2nd and 20 (to take just one example)? It depends!

> Putting up the lyrics for "Mr. Brightside" but not for the "pick the sing-along song" choice later in the 4th- why would you not do that? 100% agree. Felt it took some of the magic away from “Mr. Brightside” to have the lyrics on the screen.

> Michigan Stadium's in-game presentation One change my wife and I noticed is that the volume of non-MMB music over the stadium speakers was noticably reduced compared to recent years — to the point where it was actually possible to have a conversation with one another without having to yell.

> That athletes are being paid to play under the cloak of what’s named NIL, but in fact is not NIL, and is better understood, really, as an employment contract. This does seem obviously true! Will be “interesting” to see how this plays out across college athletics.

Paper Mario is still one of my all-time favorites! My hot take is that I like it even better than Thousand Year Door, for the worldbuilding that it brought to the Mushroom Kingdom itself.

At least she doesn’t just call him “Mario”! Reminds me of one of the old handheld Mario RPG games where Bowser knows who Mario is, but refers to Luigi as “green guy” or similar. 😂

Why doesn't Amazon have the search field on the amazon.com homepage get the input focus automatically on page load?? It's got to be an intentional design choice. I suppose Amazon wants to get users to look around at the products on the homepage as they're looking for the search field?

$27.20 to Michigan in the #CharitibundiBowl. Beating Ohio State is always fantastic -- and Michigan wouldn't have been IN this game without an OSU win, something sadly no longer true in the current expanded playoffs -- but the 27-20 Rose Bowl win over Alabama was HISTORIC.
