Shout out to @iambrianjones.bsky.social. I am at the @hackneycycling.org.uk AGM and we are looking at the now beautiful place making on Brook Road and Evering Rd. Who would want to go back?

Hey tree people! What's the best way to water a dry looking street tree with a stone resin base? Water doesn't seem to be going in at all and just running off even when poured very slowly. @tmhackney.bsky.social

The timeline is astonishing considering all the involved agencies were politically aligned. Over 10 years of inaction. I wonder if it's time to get all the parties back around the table? @londoncycling.bsky.social

Today I joined fellow campaigners asking where is cycleway 50? Announced in 2018 by @london.gov.uk With yet another fatal collision on the route last week. What will it take for TfL to take cycling seriously?

Lots of London boroughs continue to prioritise the convenience of Range Rover drivers over the safety of Londoners. This is @rbkc.gov.uk who shamefully removed a cycle lane here.

Some great developments but also a couple of really disappointing schemes on the cards more recently. OK, now on to the political asks that we had worked on. We had 5 asks that we put to the Mayor. There remains a sense that Hackney has lost its way on delivery post pandemic. Whilst schemes are

@meghillier.bsky.social has tabled 8 amendments to the Bus Services bill. All 8 relate to cycle tracks around bus stops. None relate to motor vehicles. It goes against Hackney Councils own guidance by calling for an outright ban.
