Really interesting roll of honour. First, there are a lot of names for a comparatively small place. Second, many additional details which is unusual.

2 September 1939. British government led by Neville Chamberlain agreed to send an ultimatum to Germany stating that unless Hitler removed troops from Poland, Britain would go to war. It would be delivered at 9AM on the following day and expire 2 hours later.

An object believed to have been of religious significance.
A Space Hopper, one of the old orange ones with knobbly horns, a sort of dog face with whisker stubble and a gap-toothed grin like something out of The Banana Splits.

65 years ago, on the 13th of August 1961, East Germany closed the border between east and west Berlin and started construction on the Berlin Wall. In the years prior, emigration had become a worry of East German officials, especially young and people leaving and 'brain drain'. #otd #history 🗃️

Absolutely right. The sheer irrationality of most Nazi ideology can't be underplayed. Anti-science, conspiracy theory obsessed & full of magical thinking. Goodrick-Clarke's book 'The Occult Roots of Nazism' is old but captures much of this well. Often not literally believed but created a culture.
