Years ago, our family started giving away 10% of our income to highly effective charities that help the most preposterously disadvantaged people on the planet earth. I was motivated to do this because moral people already doing this announced themselves.

Still the same effective altruist I was in 2016. Has it been ten years??? Filing taxes now and it does look like our family has honoured the Giving What We Can pledge by donating 10% of income to groups like AMF, IGN, Seva Canada, Raising the Village, etc. I am proud to be an EA in 2026!

Great words from her and Tusk. But somebody needs to defend Ukraine like it's their own. The money and matériel is great, but Ukraine needs soldiers. They've done so well alone. How can we doubt that if even just one more country would put "boots on the ground," Russia would be repelled?

Still confused about Starlink, because he does seem to actively endorse and promote fascism. The system has been absolutely vital to Ukraine's defense, if I'm not misunderstanding. He could have pulled the plug. Putin must apply some pressure there. Why does Musk resist? I scratch my head.
