5/ That’s also why FUNN was built as a low-cost organization. INF membership is a core part of our model, rather than an added expense across tens of thousands of members. There’s no mystery or preference involved, just a different organizational structure.

4/ There was no special contract or financial arrangement. FUNN operates under the same INF membership structure as other national federations. Our obligation is to pay INF dues based on our membership and comply with its federation requirements.

3/ FUNN was created specifically to restore a U.S. federation in INF-FNI. We worked with INF while forming the nonprofit and drafting our bylaws so FUNN would meet its requirements, including the 100% membership rule. INF formally recognized FUNN in July.

2/ What was voted down was a proposal to allow federations to affiliate less than 100% of their membership. AANR had made a change to that rule a condition for even considering a return. The vote was about INF policy, not an AANR membership application.
