Did I need to discover another house plant store in town? Nope! Did I need to visit the store and/or buy another plant? Nope! Did I buy something anyway? OF COURSE. Philodendron “Silver Stripe” is what I brought home. I added a new plant shelf in my office area, so of course I need to fill it up.

I’m working on a story/article about a contemporary naturist, aiming to submit it to Planet Nude, N magazine, and/or The Bulletin. But it’s LONG. And I’m probably only 2/3 finished. I think it’s interesting enough to keep it long, …but I chose the project/subject. Should I try to shorten it?

I used my DSLR to try to take photos of the lunar eclipse last night, and I haven’t had a chance to look at (nor process) them. I took a few with my phone, though, and this one was a favorite.

I finally hung it up. I cried again. I’m convinced that I’m going to cry every time I walk by it. When I go upstairs and come back downstairs. When I walk to the front door. I’m not mad about it. I just don’t get how it can have such incredible power over me. And I’m crying as I post this. 🤷

July was WILD. Not bad, very good overall. But nowhere near what I would have anticipated in any way. Much of the yard work and gardening was ignored, though, and these tomato plants have gotten unruly. I took some time to try to get them going UPWARD tonight, hoping to improve airflow below.

This is the Atlantis shuttle (if I remember correctly) on display in the building dedicated to it and the other shuttles/missions

This is the spot where the Saturn V rocket was previously on display. They’ve replaced it with a couple of other relics.

And this is the Saturn V rocket that was previously outside for 20 years. They restored it and put it in here. I was fascinated to learn that this was a rocket that had been built to be used, but then it was simply “extra” or “redundant” when they finished that program. I can’t imagine the expense of having “just an extra” ANYTHING of this size and power.

I will be attending PlantCon in Chicago in a couple of weeks. I thought it would be fun to make some stickers to give away or trade with others there. I decided this both represents my passion for naturism AND my passion for plants (more houseplants in this context).

I have experienced several “firsts” on this trip, and these are a few that were very much unplanned: - skinny dipped in the Gulf - completely nude in a public place - urinated in public - gave the keys to hubby to drive after I downed two drinks (Note: I didn’t have ANY drinks before the first 3)

We spent the day (all of it) at the Kennedy Space Center. I highly recommend it. (And it didn’t feel like pro-USA propaganda, as I feared it might. It also wasn’t pro-SpaceX or -Blue Origin or any other.)

I had a wonderful visit to Blind Creek Beach today. The weather was wonderful, and it was just starting to get more crowded when I was ready to pack up. If you haven’t been before, it’s a great beach to be clothes-free. And the new parking lot is quite nice. Easy access to the beach, too. 👍👍
