2sets of common scoter on Nene washes today. My last site record was 19/03/1996. Their stiff tails have evolved to act as rudders during deep dives up to a 30m - not needed today but still over 1m of water on March Farmers. Greater Scaup and spotted redshank also today @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
