At Brampton Pit this morning: 245 Pochard, a 1w/juv Scaup (different to Diddington bird), 13 Tufties, 3 R-c Pochard, an adult female (I think) Ferruginous Duck, and another with grey flanks and back that looks like a Fudge X Pochard (?) #CambsBirds @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Two Ferruginous Ducks. The one on the left with grey flanks and back is perhaps a hybrid with Pochard

On this day 25 years ago: This 1st summer American Golden Plover at Upware, Cambs. Not a common bird in West Suffolk, I have tried for one and missed before, but much more frequent just over the border in Cambridgeshire. @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #CambsBirds

Glad I twitched the Yellow-browed Warbler at Milton CP this morning. Only my 2nd in Cambs (1st also at Milton!). After an initial wait, it suddenly appeared, vocal and showy. Nice to see some familiar faces there too 🙂 @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #ukbirding
Probably the best photo of a YBW I've ever taken. You can actually see most of the bird! And only 4 twigs obscuring it 😂
