Happy to discuss ideas. To me we need systems-level sustainability, not just 'do less harm'. Methane is produced & released whereas it could be captured & used to solve for generation (backup for wind/solar). Preventing CH4 in atmosphere (GWP 28 to 36 times CO2) & offsetting heating = CO2 negative.

One idea, the potential for combined heat & power (CHP) that uses byproduct (heat) rather than wasting it - especially promising when: a) generation fueled with biological methane captured from landfills rather than vented b) District heating: provides heat to multiple adjacent buildings.

Waste is a verb, not a noun. "Heat from data centers used to provide heat" - there I fixed it. Better would be "heat from data centers provides heat to low income housing, reducing residents' costs even as heating prices rise" This is systems thinking.
