John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Thanks everyone for another quality listening party. I’ve got an idea for next months. A clue. It’s a 60’s album getting a major reissue. Any ideas? 🤔😀 #foreigntonguesstatic.klipy.comThe Beatles Rubber Soul Album CoverALT: The Beatles Rubber Soul Album Cover 6150
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026So there we have it. It seems insane that The Stones have released an album of such quality at tis stage in their career. Will they take it out into the live arena? Let’s hope so! #foreigntongues 4110
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Beautiful Delilah Like “Hackney Diamonds” they lads finish with a classic blues from their youth. Perfect way to end. #foreigntongues 050
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Back In Your Life Another great Jagger vocal/lyric No more to be said And the guitar play out is fab too! “Come on Ronnie!” #foreigntongues 040
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Side Effects Probably my least favourite on the record but not a total duffer which goes to show what a strong lp it is #foreigntongues 030
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Some Of Us The obligatory Keith track He’s in great shape vocally too and I love the organ on this one #foreigntongues 150
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026You Know Im No Good Great cover of the Amy Winehouse song. In a parallel universe if she was still with us do you think they would’ve invited her to duet on the record? #foreigntongues 270

John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Divine Intervention Listening to this album it strikes me that were they to do some live shows the majority of these songs would work in stage. A two part show First half do the album then second half an hour of classics #foreigntongues 260
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Jealous Lover Love the falsetto vocals hints of “Emotional Rescue” and “Beast Of Burden” to these ears. And as already mentioned, Mick’s vocals are stunning #foreigntongues 040
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026In The Stars Single number 2 and another corker Not much else to say really #foreigntongues 040
John Parkin @johnp69.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Rough And Twisted First taster of the album released as an ultra limited 12” credited to The Cockroaches Nice swagger and groove, perfect opener for the lp #foreigntongues 040
