Brief rant: Yes it's cool that Brunson took less money so the Knicks could build a champion under the salary cap. But he shouldn't have *had* to. Salary caps are just tools billionaires use to suppress wages, and no one gets upset because the labor (pro athletes) make so much money. 1/5

Speaking of nostalgia and different timeframes, me at age 8 struggled to understand the old syndicated Happy Days episodes (1974-79, say) versus the new episodes in 1980s prime-time. The re-runs weren't actually from the 1950s. Just like the new episodes, they were looking back 20 years.

Taking a break from our nation's deep troubles... the Shakey's Pizza at Olympic/San Vicente/Fairfax has closed. Site will be redeveloped. Into what? I'm hoping they build a building there rather than turn the site into another street. That intersection has enough streets as it is!
