Interesting indeed! I'm just through the forward and thesis statement. It is rather otherworldly to read something so scholarly about something that is contemporary (and in a state of flux). I think I'll need the hopeful bent you mentioned. It's quite a ride so far.

An excellent choice! Heads up though...(also a spoiler)...this film portrays actual real animal slaughter with no warning. It greatly upset many people in my film class back in the day. Which of course, was Godard's aim.
