Hi #weekendsingles thought I’d add this to #albumalmanac as it was #newtome26. I was struck by the name Slag and thought I’d give them a listen. Pretty damn good actually. 5 piece from Brighton. youtu.be/AC1OLNBzYzA?...

For the #weekendsingles crowd… anyone used to have this from the small ads in the NME etc…?? Just found it in a bag in the garage. Oldies unlimited. Vinyl sellers way back when…

Yes. It was run by a chap from centre radio in Leicester called Tom Clapton. Was great fun. My show was Thurs lunchtime. One day I played King Rocker 7 times in a row just to rebel. 🤣🤣 These are my Sparks albums so far.

Morning all at #weekendsingles. Picked this little beauty up this week. A miss-press promo from the John Peel collection. The A side actually plays The Heart Medley. Quite an oddity added to my Marc collection.

#12inchtuesday met my wife Nikki dancing to this at sector 5 in Leicester 1990. @tim-burgess.bsky.social loved her then, love her still, always have, always will. ❤️🕶

I was left this copy in my late mate’s records. I was with him when he bought it. £3.69!! We were just kids finding our way. Not sure about the embossed special price thing. It’s going on now!! House is empty. 🕶

#12inchtuesday picked this up recently. Vicious Pink Phenomena -My Private Tokyo promo. Backing singers on Soft Cell’s debut album , Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. Dave Ball produced it. Had it on 7” back then but a gf took it. 🤬

Took me back!! This is the very machine I first heard EBTG on in 1984.

Good morning #weekendsingles. Here’s a few that I picked up recently. Not really a fan of EBTG but adored this back in ‘84. Likewise The Associates. What a voice Billy had. 🕶 The Kraftwerk single I simply couldn’t resist!

Thanks Jimmy. Glad I posted early, now sitting with my son in his broken down van at the start of a 4hr wait for the RAC…… there’s worse places to break down than Woolacombe and there’s a pub just round that bend…..

Hello #weekendsingles Tried to buy the 12” of this on RSD but the scalpers beat me to it. 🤬 I refuse to pay £150 on eBay. It’s ridiculous. Once again greed prevails. Will just have to make do with these I bought way back then….

Hi #weekendsingles Been adding to my @sparksofficial.bsky.social collection this week. Picked up a couple of double sided promo’s in company sleeves and a French Funny Face. Change has an acoustic version of This Town on the B side which is quite interesting. 🕶🕶

Bumped into the most beautiful Black Oil Beetle in the garden today. Quite rare and protected apparently. Amazing life cycle how the young hitch a ride on mining bees to eat their pollen. #nature #wonderfulwildlife

Just bought @sparksofficial.bsky.social first album (after Half Nelson) and was alarmed to find it was wrapped in cellophane from new in 1974 by the original purchaser!! Do I break the wrapper and breath in the 70’s air as I listen to it?? #musicsky #vinylsky #weekendsingles

Soft Cell were a massive influence on my life and really spoke for me. This last Night In Sodom as their parting shot was a real kick in the balls to the music industry. Great to be a teen then. 🕶️🎶🎵 🎹 🎤
