As a Cornell alumnus, I am horrified but not surprised about the rape accusations. I think that a) the 7 students directly involved should have been, and should be, expelled; now that some have graduated, I would look into having their diplomas revoked, if that can happen. 1/3

My thought's on "Tomorrow's Enterprise," should anyone care, are in the ALT text of the photo below. Note: Spoilers!

My thoughts on SNW: "Tomorrow's Enterprise"
1. Pretty good, until the "Space Baby" stuff. That was unnecessary and also ridiculous. And she would have been spaghettified by the black hole in just her spacesuit. The shuttle at least had some sort of modified shields
2. Laid the foundation for La'an disappearing - I think she's going to join the Temporal Agents (I have no evidence for this, just a feeling)
3. Ortegas as a captain in a year? I think not, unless she is just captain of a commercial ship.
4. Admiral Pike? In the normal future, he does not reach that rank. This was in the Scotty-less future, maybe Scotty's death allowed it to happen? Pike always said someone would have to be sacrificed for him to not end up in the chair.
5. Loved seeing a Caitian (who looked like M'Ress) and Aurelian.
6. Future Uhura looked amazing.
7. I felt like they were implying that Pike's accident already occurred in Future Uhura's timeline, but I don't think it would have happened yet (Though it is possible as the timing was never really nailed down)
8. What happened to Una? I don't remember seeing her on the bridge (there was a strange alien in her seat and a Tellarite pilot, I believe)
9. Loved the mention of Gary Mitchell! But he should have been serving as Helmsman.
10. Where are the velour uniforms? Uglier but more accurate!
A lot to like, but a real mishmash of stuff, and I feel like they could have just resolved it using the Dilithium diamond, OR not involved a black hole/white hole, but some mysterious anomaly, and then used the space baby (and shown us what it was, perhaps?) and the uhuras in space would have been easier to believe.

Anyway, I doubt anyone will read this! Looking forward to seeing what they do next season, though with a bit of trepidation.

I've also been rewatching S2 of Discovery, and boy, Pike was better written then.

Here's a hot take: instead of "Year One" how about we follow up SNW with the adventures of Captain Una Chin-Riley of the USS Challenger? She can grab the crewmembers we *don't* see in TOS plus new and interesting species. Less canon issues, too.
