Still have the originals of many of these issues in my attic. Huge inspiration to me as a young magazine designer in the 80s, and taught me everything I needed to know about a certain "short-fingered vulgarian".

They did it the first time I saw them in ‘86 and that was probably the first time I ever heard the song.

Hey @jtkantor.bsky.social, I’m at the age where I often repeat myself, so pardon me if I made this request last September, but how bout some September Gurls?

Probably my most played album for much of the early-mid 80s.

As The Baseball Project sang in Past Time: “One thing you can say about the game Is that it's not getting any faster.” #redsox

I’m definitely rethinking my opinion of the ghost runner after last night. #redsox

What would you say is the likelyhood of the game happening? My son has an extra ticket, but I have to schlep in from the North Shore.

There have been as many replacement Replacements as there were original Replacements.

There was a great Replacements song about pillaging in the Village.

I’d love to hear that story in Casey’s voice.

Two episodes in to the final season, it’s increasingly unlikely I’m gonna make it to the finale.

Amazing show by Wilco last night at the terrific Thompson’s Point venue in Portland, Maine. Pregame beers at Bissell Brothers a good bonus. Best concert I’ve seen in years.

40 years ago tonight I saw this, my first Replacements show at The Channel in Boston. One of the last shows with Bob Stinson, the band was pretty drunk and the set was more than half covers, including a half dozen with the legendary Barrence Whitfield joining them for some craziness at the end.

This was in my Facebook memories today so seems accurate. Ended up doing Roadtrip to Chicago instead of Toronto.
