People who dismiss Flynn as an actor have obviously never seen #TheDawnPatrol (1938) because he's stupendous in a role where he actually has something of an arc. The grim change that comes over his character when he's given responsibility for the lives of his young squadron is incredible. #FilmSky

No desire to see #AlleyCats so no opinion on it but when Ricky Gervais bangs on about offence etc. I think about how the ending of #TheOffice series two was inspired by one of the most powerful moments in cinema - #AngelsWithDirtyFaces (1938). Much more interesting than his recent schtick, IMHO.
