It’ll just be the usual minor administrative hiccup the like of which occur in all large organisations. My guess is that minion A failed to submit his $1.7 million expenses form in for him on time but minion B failed to notice this, jumped the gun, and just paid them anyway. Just a trifling error.

Is he not just following the money? My guess is that he thinks this is his best bet for a route to the top, which he sees as his destiny. It all looks a bit desperate as well as being odious.

The Tories, Restore and Reform are all in a race to see how far into the gutter they can get. They are really not this country.

…And it gets Zia Yusuf on BBC R4 Today programme this morning for the sort of interview we have come to expect from Justin Webb. - I was going to add a specific comment about Justin’s “technique” but the name should be enough for most people here.

Do you not think we have been in an unpredictable escalation for years? It has been very slow as yet but I wouldn’t say it has been reliably predictable

Barry Gardiner MP has the receipts; showing that England's water companies are persistently failing in their statutory duties. As Secretary of State for the Environment Angela Eagle already has the power to take them into Special Administration. "She can. She should."

I think this makes sense. Does everyone want to stay with the country as it is or introduce major change? “Leave” implies action. “Remain” implies staying as we are & staying where we are. I’m not running any campaign but I think the language used is (or can be) important

In fairness, on the last point, Jagger would have to have been a father at the age of 12 to have a child older than Hall.

It’s the sort of thing we should be able to expect the BBC to deliver in furtherance of its duty to “provide impartial, high-quality, and distinctive output and services that inform & educate…” If done well it might even be entertaining.

Not just argument. Burnham has brought back real discussion and real persuasion into the art of politics. My guess would be that comes as a shock to MP’s inside and outside the Labour Party.

The UK right is getting close to racial purity inquisitions where each person is put through a flow chart, family history inquiry, and DNA test so a bunch of racists can assess whether they meet an amorphous definition of english

Next, we need a committee to assess and decide on everyone's ethnicity Is a white person born in England to white French parents English? How about my daughter, born in Canada to white English parents with roots going back 150 years? A Jewish woman born in England? Can you be Muslim and English??

Money talks and I guess they’ve been offered an awful lot of it. I’m also wondering how the “former colleague” who said: “I’m flabbergasted that the SFO let them go all at the same time with a case as big as Glencore coming down the line”, thought they could have been prevented from resigning.

Will those houses still have utilities supplied? Does Piddington have internal power generating, water supply, & sewage treatment facilities? Are they busy installing septic tanks, building reservoirs & power generation capacity as they campaign? No doubt there is already a Piddington hospital…

It is too ridiculous for words. A more misconceived communication is difficult to imagine. Andy Burnham said his time in Manchester away from the Westminster “bubble” had taught him how to stay true to himself but the leeches around him appear to have changed all that within a few weeks.
