Have been a regular for ~35 years at Lansdowne but couldn’t stomach it this evening. None of us took our season ticket seats. Would have enjoyed seeing that goal live but struggling to articulate how we feel about this team. It was good to see the protest there despite RTÉ cutting away a lot.

God knows how long it’s been since last had a mug of Bovril. Caught my eye on the shop shelf and on impulse bought it. Expensive stuff these days @ €5.75

Keep hearing of the cost of disability, and state payments. I don’t qualify for Carers Allowance despite being a 24/7/365 home carer for past 20 years.

Luckily I have an appointment so I won't have to follow this fuckery in real time, but for the record - the FAI were catastrophically under-prepared for literally the most predictable shit imaginable, and they're going to go into the Dáil and wave their mickeys around as if they were geniuses.

The FAI and the government had every opportunity to decide not to let our football team play Israel. But they failed to make that call. They have failed the players, and put the burden of making that decision on those players' shoulders. Shame.

Talked to lots of people in football about the FAI's astounding level of incompetence with regard to the games against the Israeli team, and it is absolutely staggering how poorly-prepared they were for even the most obvious basic and predictable shit, such as the use of the word "genocide".

I’ve been trying to buy a new car for past month or so. The dealers have been less than efficient with two trying to add an extra €1500-€2000 on top of manufacturers price plus delivery and whatever extras like ‘paint’ Also low-balling my trade-in with an excuse that it’s the stocking underwriters.

FAI BOARD ANNOUNCES JOHN DELANEY
RESIGNATION
The Board of the Football Association of Ireland announces the resignation with immediate effect of Executive Vice-President and former CEO John Delaney. This follows talks between the parties. The FAI will fulfil certain notice and pension obligations as agreed between the parties.
Mr. Delaney served as CEO of the FAI from 2005 to March of 2019 during which time the FAI became partners in the new Aviva Stadium. In 2017, he was elected to the UEFA Executive and in March of this year, he moved to a role of Executive Vice-President of the FAI.
Both parties have agreed to make no further comment

Reading comments from Hallgrimsson about how difficult the last few days have been for his soup-takers & what the potential consequences might have been for Irish football. I'd love to ask player Suleiman Obeid what the consequences of genocide are for Palestinians, but I can't. Israel killed him.

Was refused entry to the Ladies FAI cup final for ‘trying to make a political statement’ by wearing this jersey. Had to get the wonderful Shelbourne club SLO John Brennan to sort it out. Incase anyone was worried if the FAI couldn’t embarrass themselves any further.

LETTER TO MY SON
I played for Ireland my darling son I played for Ireland my beloved one put on the green shirt
Despite my shame and my hurt
As someone else's beloved child
Lay dead in the dirt
I played those child killers my darling son I played the genocider' each and every one I stood to attention as their national anthem was played
Tried not to think of the thousands of innocent children, that they had so cruelly slayed
I played for Ireland my darling son I played for Ireland my beloved one I put on the green jersey That for every more is stained
I beg your forgiveness for my moral cowardice and shame
I played for Ireland
When I should have honoured my home
Remembered my history
How the oppressors tried to erased our name I played for Ireland
And I brought upon it shame
Please please forgive me my darling For playing in the game of shame

One constant in all my time involved in football was the psychology of one for all - all for one within squads. . Those that stuck by each other were winners, any fractures saw morale and confidence disappear out the door. Those in Hungary tonight will know exactly this

Allowing for the possibility that a couple of other players voted with Bazunu, this still pretty much nails it. A piece of me died today - from now on, the rest of the Boys in Green other than him are representing the FAI, they're not representing me, or us.

The FAI repeatedly told us players would be protected. Yet when a 24 year old acted on his conscience, they left him to stand alone & used a vote among his teammates to validate their own cowardice. This isn’t protecting a young player, it’s protecting themselves at his expense. #StopTheGame
