Incredibly sad about this news I loved Sass Jordan's 90s albums esp Rats. Amazing singer songwriter and should have been massive.

Barnsley Folk Festival excellent Saturday evening for a tenner surrounded by friends with values. We need values at the moment and to read away from social media. Left another gig after a quick visit last night I prefer to be around socially conscious people nowadays n care about my heritage

Jo's top ten of why I love attending independent UK music venues rather than chains venues or arenas Finally number 1 inspired by the nightmare dealing with 02TM this week COMMUNITY let's shout it. The Indies after safe friendly, staff n regulars know each other well and care What's not to love

Jo's top ten of why I love attending independent UK music venues rather than chains venues or arenas 3, location location my faves are in towns or small cities where you can often find half decent parking that doesn't feel risky as a lone woman. Nothing like the big cities with rotten transport

Scooter for Download. Yes that Scooter considered a joke 20 odd years ago, and on many a Les Mills fitness class cd. Yet another reason why I see mainly British and European original acts in indie venues. What the masses allegedly want and what I like to spend my cash on don't match.
