iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I’ve used that as well on Bazzite, I imagine it would also be an option on steam os If that’s your jam, it would just mean going to desktop mode to get things setup.

Depending on how Frame goes with FEX, I wouldn't be surprised if the eventual steam deck 2 was ARM based

Valve has been investing in an open source x86 emulation solution for ARM called FEX. They claim that it’s been working very well on the Frame, I wouldn’t expect a 100% success rate, just like with their efforts with Proton to map Windows api calls to Linux, but I’m optimistic that ARM will be fine

Junk Store 2.0 - Play Non-Steam Games on Steam Deck

I use the 1.0 old and free version of this to install games from other stores: www.junkstore.xyz The paid version is almost certainly better And easier, but I’m willing to do a little tinkering so I haven’t bothered with the latest and greatest.

junkstore.xyz

The ONLY solution that eliminates Desktop Mode switching entirely. Play Epic, GOG, Amazon & itch.io (beta) games directly in Steam Deck Game Mode. 7-day trial.

It does, I use my steam deck with some games from gog, there’s some great plugins for steam os made by the community that make it pretty easy. It may take a little bit for the open source community to update the plugins for the steam machine, but I doubt it will take long.

They super are! I’m 8 weeks in on Zepbound and 34 lbs down. 160 lbs or so to go, it’s too bad the weight loss slows down as you go, but it’s amazing regardless.

I want to try this so bad, I’ve been watching for it for the whole year now, I hope it becomes available soon

Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:

Every April, we celebrate Independent Bookstore Day to remind us how vital indie bookstores are to our communities and society. It’s a day of joy and solidarity, and significant financial impact for these bookstores.

This year, Amazon is undercutting that with a “Book Sale” on the same day—a calculated move by a company that has already put half the bookstores in the country out of business, controls over 60% of the market and sells far more books than all indie bookstores combined. The people at Amazon responsible for the timing of their "Book Sale" should be ashamed, but they are shameless.

Interesting, I wonder if that means integrating some parts of unreal, or if it means more changes to the Creation Engine

Joel Sitte @joelsitte.bsky.social · 22/04/2025

I would have guessed that Bethesda was minimally involved with any unreal engine work and it was mostly done by the partner company Virtuos. Is there some indication they are planning to change engines for their flagship titles?

Nobody should think that Xinis is ensuring that Abrego García stays in El Salvador for two weeks. The threat of spending two weeks in discovery is calculated to get him back immediately. It is not an empty threat.

What happened was magical and nearly impossible to pull off. I have zero expectations that it will ever happen again for any franchise in my lifetime. Not to say they won’t try, and not to say they shouldn’t try. But my expectations are certainly low for the ongoing marvel story scope.

I’m also an enormous nerd so I’d give bonus points to something that is tastefully inspired or directly referential to Star Wars and/or Star Trek

It’s so hard to choose, I so far tend to like ones that allow a peek into the movement from the face of the watch. But I haven’t done enough consideration about what I truly want yet beyond that.
