Also the sign on the ladies' toilet is an elephant lady in her churchgoing best and I love her. (This photo, I'm pretty sure, is the only evidence this sign existed - I took it myself and I doubt anyone else bothered to maintain it for posterity.)

People are talking about the flats in what was Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre so I'm once again going to wax lyrical about one of the greatest pieces of graphic design I've ever seen. It is simultaneously and elephant and a castle! The crenellations are his leggies and his trunkum is a flag!
