Yeah, it's happening, pick any programming language you like, doesn't matter. Compile it to native. AIs are making it so easy!

You have no apps with permission to your data. But you know that one person in your family with all social apps installed with all permissions accepted that you send private messages to? All your messages to them go to the clouds and build a profile of you anyway!

Wow, did you know Linux is ported up to M3 Max Apple Silicon? We can replace macOS with Fedora on a Mac/MacBook Pro Max M3 (or equivalent or lesser models). It must be no simple feat to reverse engineer non-publicly-documented CPU and GPU architecture. I bet AIs can be helpful here. asahilinux.org

A browser built with HTML elements for its Ui, how it should have always been! But! Funny enough these days we can also compile DOM code (including Custom Elements written in TypeScript) to native code statically linked to DOM without JavaScript. So browser UIs can go back to native technically. 🙃

I'm officially mentioning, I am working at Google now, on the Search team in areas of interactivity and appyness (anti-jank). I'm curious to hear what you currently dislike the most about the smoothness and interactivity (or lack thereof!) of google.com. Bugs, Jank, unintuitive transitions, etc.

This is cool. Sifa ID generates you a profile view from the AT Protocol open social graph. AT Protocol, an open standard, allows unrelated apps to coexist within a standard public social graph. (This shows how X (previously Twitter) is now outdated monopolistic tech not progressing the internet.)

I meant here, instead of something like "npm install any-lib" it becomes "copy any-lib and *change* ABC to XYZ" We can even add "delete this, add this" for our specific needs. Maybe npmjs.com will start to see less usage of popular libs, and more usage or random libs representing preferences...

Example: in an hour I - compiled TypeScript DOM code to native with AssemblyScript + wasm2c (I could replace those too!) - statically linked directly to Chromium DOM APIs - with the V8 JavaScript engine entirely bypassed - with zero string copies so APIs like innerHTML read content from AS memory

Soon enough frameworks and libraries won't matter much. They'll all become just a documentation of preference or methodology. We can pretty much one-shot prompt any framework these days, *and* have it taylored to our preferences.

I use TypeScript for my custom HTML elements. The trick is that if I want template type checking in templates, I 1. Use JSX (typescript can compile it) 2. Write type JSX defs alongside the elements. For example here is an custom element with Solid-flavored JSX types: github.com/lume/lume/bl...

@solidjs.com has a new `sld` tagged template function coming out to replace its `html` template function. `sld` is renamed from `html` because it not HTML-syntax-compatible, with JSX-like case-sensitive <Component> syntax. No more pesky <${Component}> syntax!
