The suspected ectopic pregnancy was caught early through ultrasound and ended without issue. No politics, no fear, no travel, no hemorrhage. I want that for everyone. 2252 25

Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 14/10/2026For reasons, I find myself back in ownership of my previous knitting bag. I am a mediocre knitter at best but in the spirit of celebrating small wins today I figured out what I was doing wrong by dint of intentional practice and problem solving and thus gained a new miniskill. #smallwins 051 5

Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 08/10/2026This is real, it's a big change in what it means to be a reader at that stage and it's a hard gap to bridge. As a parent I found reading aloud to my kids from slightly more challenging books helped. Somewhat. But then I love reading. 000 0
Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I have not, so far, found a female YouTuber who does Diablo 4. It's not that I mind watching men YouTube, exactly, but they represent a type of play that isn't how I play or why I play, so the content doesn't resonate. Also it makes me feel like the only woman in Sanctuary. 010 1
Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It's the *fifteenth* Diablo 4 season. I have been playing it pretty consistently since it started. I know the game. Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It is a bad situation. Not least because while I don't think AI can be demonstrated to fairly assess in this kind of process, it's certainly likely to increase the amount of lower quality submissions, which is all kinds of process headaches. 100 1

Dr Joanna McKenzie @jobob.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I agree with this. AI art of any type is a novelty at best. When I engage with art I am seeking a specific experience - to see the world from some alternative viewpoint; something with meaning and intention. AI just isn't that, and can't be. 031 3
