If you’d like to buy a book on why it actually matters that these buildings are listed and why the restrictions are necessary and good, and why you can still put a heat pump and double glazing in a GII listed cottage even though it’s listed, Great because I’m writing it.

Black and white cat sat on its back legs looking to the right of shot. It looks surprised/vaguely about to sneeze. Possibly at all the grass being burned to straw in mid july in the uk

Did a day's stone carving class at the lakeside in Nottingham- based the design on an Anglo Celtic design in the museum next door. Lots of fun, even through the frustration of important bits pinging off. A difficult thing to master! Requiring huge amounts of skill and practice! Who'd have thought!
View of a museum display of a mounted figure. An informative label reads "romano - Celtic sculpture - image of a warrior god"A freshly carved stone with a mounted figure on it - based on the museum piece in the other image. The loss of material in key areas (on the spear and horse's face) indicates hard lessons learnt in mallet/chisel management.

If you need some chill, slow viewing to remind you of the good in people right now, then here you go. Master restorer Julian Baumgartner using his magic to save a painting of Frances Hodgson Burnett for her granddaughter, after it was almost destroyed in the Texas floods. And doing it pro-bono.
