I really hate that Elio opened as low as it did. That being said, I also didn't go see it. I feel like the lack of Pixar box office lately has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the films - I've loved every one of them - but has a huge amount to do with the abundance of kids...

Can you clarify? From a purely game perspective - it's a touch-up of a beloved classic. Mechanically speaking it's Oblivion with a Levelling Mod and a Skills Mod. Now economically - yeah 50$ is ridiculous. But I feel like this is also some testing ground for ES6 ideas.

Watching this movie was a real revelation to me. Jackie Chan had been a chaotic stuntman in my mind and I was able to kind of dismiss the legacy. Then I watched this and realized he’d been doing stuff like THIS for almost 30 years BEFORE he made his big roles in the West.

What time period are you thinking of? Usually critics are informed by a variety of things: scholarly knowledge of film techniques, production woes, Hollywood gossip, and watching hundreds (sometimes) of films a year. Audiences vibe. Sometimes good art doesn’t vibe with uninvested audiences.
